Sepideh Zamani

Overview

Sepide Zamani (b. 1986 Tehran, Iran), began her practice as a graphic designer in advertising companies. After pursuing her BFA in Sculpture at the Art University of Tehran, she continued her career as an artist. In 2008, accompanied by five other artists, She is a member of Tehran Carnival, an artist collective creating underground public art in the city of Tehran. Speed of creation defines the formal decisions and the material in her art. Paper-mache as her primary material not only matches her desire in quick production but also her intention of low-budget fabrication. Sepide's works are exuberant approaches that imply candidness, humor, movement, repetition and narrative in the form sculptural installation.
