“Neither Up Nor Down”
This textile installation is the reflection of continuous that can be found through- out the history of Iran. “Iranian mystical poems” which include frequent use of the words “up” and “down” are used as a way to explore dualities that inform the relationships between oneself and society; body and mind, progress and decline...The composition and visual structure of my work is inspired by Safavid silks calligraphic textiles with gold and silver strips.
